Grandeur of the Seas
October 8 - October 13, 2016

October 8
This was the first cruise I was in a Junior Suite, and an aft Junior Suite at that! We ended up leaving Baltimore an hour early as the Chesapeake Bay was closing at midnight during to the coming storm (Hurricane Matthew). Unfortuntaely some people missed the ship because of this. Around 7 pm we learned we would not be going to Bermuda, but instead would try to go to Canada and/or New England. They'd let us know in the morning.

October 9
Seas were kind of rough today. We had to slow significantly as so many people were sea sick. We eventually were told that because we slowed so much, we could not make Canada or New England. We'd be going to Bayonne, NJ instead.
Here's the view from the Windjammer (the buffet all the way in the front of the ship) and another one of the pool deck, which was closed.

October 10-11
Luckily Royal Caribbean provided us free ferries into Lower Manhattan. I was able to go to the Freedom Tower and walk around the 9/11 Memorial.

Pictures of the ocean. What a difference a couple days make!

Also, Royal Caribbean gave everyone 100% of what was paid for this cruise as a credit for a future cruise and because of this, I have booked an Alaska cruise for 2017!
